St Newlyn East celebrated a successful first season playing in the St Piran League with an fantastic evening at long standing sponsor The Pheasant Inn.

Players donned ‘country club’ attire as they celebrated the end of a long season that saw them achieve a respectable 6th place and reach the quarter finals of the George Evely Cup.

Manager Martin Grigg thanked everyone who had contributed to the club's season and stressed how without this the team would not be in the position it was. Awards were announced and given out by Gary Thompson and presented by one of the club's "top supporters" Emma Wilkins.

Goal of the Season - Owen London
Most Man of the Matches - Jake Watson
Most Appearances - Harry Mugford

Thanks were also given to our match day volunteers, especially Lyn, Rachel and Jemima who have been regular helpers for most of our home games.
