Highly experienced Roberts was at Newlyn for two years between 2019 and 2021 as we reached the 2021 ECPL Covid Cup Final.

He has also worked at Newquay FC and is also currently working with Wadebridge in the South West Peninsula League.

Wayne Roberts will be 'integral part' of coaching staff returning to the club he previously played for – most notably in the 1997/98 title winning Invincibles Team.

“We look forward to welcoming Wayne back to our club,” said St Newlyn East Manager Martin Grigg.

“He has a wealth of experience and will be an integral part of our coaching set-up as we look to build on our previous strong seasons again.
